PROSPECT 100 are proud to be teaming up with, one of the world's largest watch brands, Swatch for this year's Global Design Competition.
PROSPECT 100 and Swatch are inviting young designers from all around the world to submit an original digital artwork responding to 'What if... Swatch were to have a monogram.'
The overall winner will not only receive $10,000 but they will begin to work on an official collaboration with Swatch. Swatch x <You> - this is your chance to make that a reality. And of course the winner will be globally celebrated by Swatch and PROSPECT 100.
Many brands have their own monogram, and Swatch, the young rebel of the watch industry, would like to exercise the scenario of an official monogram for a special celebration year.
Swatch is all about creativity, storytelling and playfulness. Leave the rulebook behind. We are not asking you to create a monogram that conforms.
Design a Swatch monogram (motif/pattern) that could not only be applied on watches, but present as well on digital platforms, shopping bags, retail environments, uniforms, etc. Please do not feel like you should create a monogram just intended for watches. Please do not create a watch.

I learned about PROSPECT 100 and the competition through Instagram. I was hesitant at first, but then I kept seeing advertisements for the SwatchxPeanuts collab all over New York and thought I should take it as a sign to enter. I thought to myself, even if I don't win, my entry could still be a good piece for my portfolio. Now that I've won, I'm speechless and I'm incredibly excited for the future! I think it's important for established brands to embrace young designers as Swatch did. It's a win win as they say. For a lot of young designers, finding work can be quite challenging as we are unknown. We are often told we don't have enough experience under our belt. PROSPECT 100 is doing important work, the team understood this challenge and found a fun way to help us gain recognition and experience while also helping brands reach out to us. I would have to recommend P100 to my fellow designers as it's a great way to just shoot your shot and see what happens!
